Jewish tour of Saint-Petersburg
Duration - 4 Hours.
Cost:
- for the group of 1-2 people - 100 Euro;
- for the group of 3-4 people - 125 Euro;
- for the group of 5-10 people - 175 Euro.
The tour includes: the transportation by a comfortable airconditioned car for the group up to 4 people or Mini Van for the group of 5-10 people, services of me as your guide, hotel pick up and drop off.
The tour excludes: the Jewish museum fee, which is 300 Rur = 7,5 Euro.
A bit about my tour:
Russia and Israel signed visa free agreement in March 2008.
Now the citizens of Israel don’t need visa to visit Russia.
As Israeli people are interested in the history of their nation, I made special tour around Jewish places in Saint-Petersburg for them.
During the tour you will visit Saint-Petersburg Grand Choral Synagogue which is the second largest in Europe. The Synagogue was built in 1888 by the group of Russian Architects in the Moorish stile. You will see the Synagogue main halls and, besides, the Jewish school and the wedding room which are usually closed for the big groups.
We will visit the Jewish museum, with its collection of items connected with the history and culture of Russian Jews. Among them you will see the oldest book in the world dated 916 year, ancient clothes, amulets, Torah, silver poiners, articles of household use.
We will visit Jewish cemetery where all the famous Jews of Saint-Petersburg are buried.
Then I’ll drive you around few buildings in the city centre connected with the history of Jews in Saint-Petersburg.
Lunch in the Jewish restaurant is upon request.
